"Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. All staff were very friendly making for a relaxing stay. Evening meal was was also very nice ( I had the pie both nights, highly recommended) wine a bit on pricy side but I enjoyed it all the same!"

"The room was very clean and the beds very comfortable. The room had a GHD hairdryer, a good selection of tea and cofees. Communal areas were spotless and nicely decorated. We had a a good stay. The one small gripe was the cooked breakfast. Sausages and tomatoes were undercooked, it came with toasted sourdough but, it needed a softer bread. Especially as no baked beans allowed. I omitted a few things such as black pudding, egg and mushrooms. What was served wasn't increased to compensate. I...

"Lorna was a great host, super welcoming and chatty. Room was clean and packed with drinks and biscuits, even had marshmallows for your hot choc! Location was great, just a short walk to town down the scenic railway path. Breakfast in the morning was lovely, "

"Rooms were comfortable. Good beds and duvets. Wonderful view! Staff were very approachable and pleasant. The breakfasts were good apart from the last day when no hot breakfasts available. We enjoyed a very nice evening meal but were disappointed there was no hot drinks available afterwards. Not easy to park for larger vehicles."

"This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Amthweight Hall, the accommodation was excellent, as was the staff, they couldn't do enough for you. The breakfast was 10 out of 10, and again, very helpful, as my wife wanted her coffee a paticular temperature, and strength, they bent over backwards to make her perfect cup of coffee !! The grounds and the building, are kept immaculate. The Spa facilities, again 10 out of 10, gym, sauna, steam room, plunge pool, swimming pool and outside hot pool, plenty...

"The staff here are the stars of this hotel, incredibly friendly and will go out of their way to assist. Renovation work is ongoing whilst we were there but it didn’t disrupt a great few nights. Warming welcome that never dimmed"
