"Incredible. Setsuko-san and the rest of the staff were amazing. The ryokan is beautiful and peaceful. Meals were among the best I’ve ever had, and they were so accommodating with my picky kids. The onsen are wonderful. Seriously, we can’t wait to come back."

"We Americans stayed here for 2 nights. Highly recommended. Great cultural experience for those looking for an authentic ryokan in an older style building with communal bathing facilities. Japanese breakfast was really fun but I had little idea what I was eating. Go with an open mind! I was glad there were a couple of very helpful staff who spoke some English. Otherwise, it looked like all local Japanese guests there!"

"No attendant at the check-in, no staff in the hotel thru out my stay. You have to call their sister hotel and ask the staff to walk over for check in, then you are on your own. "

"Wonderful stay in this beautiful ryokan with private hot spring bath and a breakfast and dinner that would put Michelin starred restaurants to shame. Everyone was so friendly and the owner popped us in her car unexpectedly to see her favorite cherry blossoms at night. The room was extremely comfortable and well equipped. We loved it!"

"Wonderfully warm welcome by the staff, who took excellent care of us throughout the visit. Convenient central location despite slightly inconvenient access up a steep hillside — but the beautiful view made it worthwhile. Everything about the hotel was calming and serene. We will be very happy to return again."

"I’d say it was very convenient for a 2-night stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and housekeeping was done daily. The check-in process was easy — I did it through a self-service machine and received my room key immediately. I was surprised at how close it was to Atami Station (a 5-minute walk) and right next to the car rental center where I dropped off my car. Since it’s quite close to the station, there are plenty of eateries around, and there’s also a Family Mart just across the street.

"With the convenience of a simple apartment-style setup, you can freely use the clean facilities.
This makes it highly effective if you prefer a freestyle stay."

"Clean room, as per the norm for all Japanese hotels. Very modern and spacious room. Great location as you can walk to Atami Station in less than 5 minutes.
Because of it's local near Atami Station, you are close to everything - shops, restaurants, transportation, etc.
Our room is in the back that faces the train tracks. Surprisingly you can't hear the trains even though they rain close. If you are a rail fan like me ask for the back. It was a pleasant surprise!"
