"The biggest asset to this hotel is their staff everyone was friendly, helpful and engaged with the kids. From the initial welcome from the chief to departing the hotel everything was great. Would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Vanuatu .. "

"The Melanesian is a long-standing feature of the Port Vila accommodation scene and it's very well-priced. The Orchid Rooms are very pleasant but they all face onto the pool area. So you will want to have the windows shut if the music played at the bar and people's conversations bother you. The AC unit in my room did an OK job with keeping the room comfortable even with windows shut. The rooms have a good desk and small table for people needing to do work while there. "The location and the view from the Hotel is just awesome. The apartment itself with two floors and a private pool is stunning. But I have to say, that you feel, that the apartments are a bit older and could get a little renovation.
All of the staff were super friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the restaurant service is not the best. There was not one day, we received what we ordered. For instance, you order juice without ice, it comes with ice, you order soy milk - you get normal milk and so...
