"Amazing stay and staff ! Best hotel in Loire Valley"

"Beautiful property."

"We had a lovely couple of nights here. So quiet and relaxing, a true luxurious and romantic place. We had the lodge with the hot tub which had gorgeous views of the pond (number 17). Slight issue with horse flies when walking to and from the main area through the woods but they didn’t like insect repellent so that worked well. One slight downer was we didn’t get asked if we wanted to book tables for dinner in the evenings and one night was fully booked with what must have been non resident...

"This is a real gem in a small town of Azay-le-Rideau. Beautiful castle nearby. Great dining options. The manager helped with reservations."

"The hotel lived up to our expectations and was ideal as a centre from which to tour that part of France. The one small drawback was that it was a little out of the centre of Azay-le-Rideau to which it took a good 15 minutes to walk."

"Lovely spot. Small site and very friendly owner. "

"Thank you so much to Christina and Erik for a wonderful night’s stay at Château de Valesne. We were made to feel really welcome and everything from our beautiful room, stunning grounds and lovely food shared with our hosts and other guests, made for a very special stay. We’d love to come back!"

"Neat, clean, modern facilities with relaxed staff. Small pool better suited to toddlers than teenagers. Easy to book tennis court. Arrived on heavily laden bikes and the hill up to the Residence was a bit of a killer after a long day in the saddle, but the comfortable house made up for it."

"Absolutely amazing from the moment we arrived, we came for 1 night but so good we stayed for 2, the cuisine and the hosts was exceptional. We will return but my wife will not have such a large suitcase!..! We cannot recommend this B&B more highly."

"Great staff and service. Walking distance from Castle."

"What a superb little place, not so little as the dog and I had the house to ourselves. If you want something which is quiet, safe, typically French and within a 10 minute walk of a fab bistro in the village then this is for you. Host was superb, great communication and attention. Would highly recommend as a pit stop if driving from UK to Spain."

"Excellent stay in a lovely place with a wonderful breakfast"

"Très bel endroit très agréable et original. La piscine fut un régal après un peu de route. La proximité du château en fait un endroit parfait pour un séjour touristique en famille."

"Wonderful stay. Ideal location, gracious staff, comfortable and beautiful accommodation. "

"Amazing property! Enjoyed every minute!"

"Literie très confortable. Salle d'eau très propre.Le Wifi fonctionne très bien. Petit déjeuner très copieux. Pour les repas du soir, notre hôte nous a suggéré plusieurs restaurants et conseillé de réserver une table assez tôt. Conseil bien utile."

"We had a wonderful week. Maria and her husband are fantastic hosts. Throughout the week they checked everything was alright and asked if we needed anything. The breakfasts that Maria delivered every day were fabulous, plentiful and freshly prepared. We had freshly prepared tarts, fruit, homemade jams etc. The house is perfect for two, set in beautiful gardens, with the use of a small swimming pool.We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if we visited the same area in the future.
