"Mizingani Seafront Hotel is an atmospheric, character-filled heritage hotel in a wonderful Stone Town location. It is not a modern, polished resort-style property, and that is really part of its appeal. The charm is in the old-world Zanzibar feel: the carved timber, arched balconies, tiled details, sea views, inner courtyard and slightly labyrinthine layout of rooms, staircases and quiet corners.

"Extremely helpful staff. Great hotel.
The public beach in front of the hotel has a busy (and sometimes party) vibe. It can be loud during the day but quiets down by 10-11pm.
We had a good beach view from our room.
Room was very clean.
There were other dining options nearby the hotel."

"The room was extremely expensive,I paid in advance and I still had to pay $100 per day because they didn’t have enough rooms with the beach view available so they told me I had to get the court yard view, and then they changed it back to the beach view, very expensive and confusing to me, the food wasn’t very good either but you get what you pay for, I don’t recommend this hotel."

"A relatively nice place but needs some significant updating and TLC. Bed linen and sheets are very poor quality and seem very old. Lots of spots around the room with wires hanging, or plaster no painted over etc.. Rather unusual shower made out of doors! Location is good for most things"
