"I do NOT recommend that hotel. Old style boxxy hotel from the 1980'. Super small bathroom and shower with a plastic curtain. For the toilet, you litterally stand in the shower : unacceptable. Ok it is clean and there is a small unattractive pool. It is worth no more than 50 €, a sort of ok 2 stars lodge. No Zanzibar dream at all. Breafast is ok. "I had assumed incorrectly that Zanzistar was on the beach, so when I arrived, I was really disappointed. I felt claustrophobic in the garden which is surrounded on all sides by high fences. The beach bar which is a 5-minute walk away was underwhelming and there were lots of people smoking. Unless you lay in the front row, in the sun, you couldnt really enjoy the sea view. "Because we were only stopping for 2 nights we weren't too particular as to the room so chose the cheapest option but in retrospect we should have picked one next to the pool. We were in an annexe a 20meters away and it was a small room, though it did provide an effective ac unit, tea and coffee facilities, hit shower, clean towels both days, mosquito net, and it was clean and well presented.
