"The hotel has been going through a remodeling process. The 2nd floor was basically under construction. The fitness center, swimming pool and all other amenities on the first floor were being used to store construction materials. There was no patio area for lounging outside. There was no bench or any other seating area in front of the hotel so if a person was waiting for a ride there was no place to sit. As for the remodel process, we were on the 3rd floor which I guess had been completed. ...

"Charming, exceedingly gracious staff (bellmen, reception, garage staff, cleaning staff
...), gorgeous updated vintage decor room (fab casement windows, working perfectly to allow in gentle fresh breezes). Super helpful and fun bellman at check-in.
Love the photo-front elevators (beautiful 1800s Santa Fe shots) and the Mexican songsters trio in the lobby for Happy Hour.
Terrific breakfast and service at La Plazuela.

"I visit Ruidoso several times per year. This location is perfect for walking to restaurants and shopping. This hotel is always clean and the employees are very friendly."

"The beds are very comfortable- very nice linens. The toiletries are clean and smell wonderful. Great stay after along day of driving. All the staff are helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the well manicured peaceful garden. Actually all the art and decor has a beautiful New Mexico presence- we enjoyed our stay very much. The hotel has great security, and parking."

"The hotel is centrally located, the staff were polite.
A few gripes - the building is ancient and my room was very dark. I really prefer sunlight in the room.
Also they made a mess of the breakfast. First I had to tell them during check in that breakfast was included, then they gave 1 coupon to present at the restaurant. And then I had to go back the next day to ask for more coupons. Why Hilton must you do this mess of a process for breakfast? Learn from Hyatt please."
