"We had a fantastic stay at Sandos Caracol Playa del Carmen as a family of four (2 adults and 2 kids), and we would definitely consider coming back.
Pros:
The hotel is very clean, and the staff overall are respectful and welcoming. One of the highlights of this resort is the wildlife—you really feel immersed in nature, which makes the experience unique for both adults and kids.
Check-in was smooth and quick, likely because we arrived outside peak hours, which set a great tone for the trip.

"The in room jacuzzi didn't work so I paid extra but didn't get to enjoy it. Overall though my stay was enjoyable and I would definitely recommend it."

"Enjoyed our stay. The Activities Staff was amazing (shout out to Leo, Leslie, Paola, Natalia, Davina, and Jorge) and we enjoyed the beach, pool, and evening entertainment. Check in was fine, it it would have been helpful to know that we would have a building concierge who would give us all the specific details (Building 18- Michelle Ramirez was fantastic!). Beautiful property and it met our expectations. "

"Long walks to amenities. Food at individual restaurants mediocre. Got food poisoning first day after buffet. Linens in rooms need replacing. Most of staff friendly. Long trip from airport. "

"The staff at check in and out could use some hospitality training - this is our 4th stay and this has never improved although overall service at the resort has significantly improved aside from this. The amenities and location are wonderful and it is a beautiful resort. The waiters at the beach were excellent as always and should be given a shout out including Victor, Juan and Edwin"
