"We traveled from Alaska to the Dominican Republic to enjoy crystal blue waters and white sandy beaches. The beach was indeed white and nice however the water was murky brown and smelled horrible. We were told by locals that yes this water is nearly always this way due to the proximity of the nearby river. A waste of our money.
