"Amazing hotel- couldn’t fault it. Gym and pool was an amazing addition. Rooms were clean, spacious and practical. Only negatives were the temperature of the room- bring an additional fan!! Extremely hot. And the temperature of the pool is also very hot."

"Staff were friendly and helpful however upon walking into the hotel we were met with the most awful urine like smell. Possibly a damp carpet that has dried whiffy but it really didn’t give off a good impression and we’d wondered what mistake we’d made by booking there. Our room wasn’t ready for checking in so we went up to the first floor to the bar for a drink but the bar wasn’t open so we used the toilet instead before heading out somewhere else. Unfortunately these toilets weren’t much better...

"The hotel is looking a bit tired and in need of an update. The room was fine...no safe, furniture a bit tatty and some black mould around the bath/shower. Only 1 dressing robe and slippers in the room, although booked as a couple. Room service was a bit random. The sandwiche that arrived was not great, with a tired piece of lettuce, 2 small tomatoes and some tortilla chips. Breakfast was again fine but nothing to write home about. The hot food had the air of being put out for the opening...

"Liked that hotel was a bit quirky. Room was nice overlooked the car park but with countryside views beyond. We had an evening meal in the Bareca restaurant which was very good especially the Dirty Burger, highly recommended"

"The hotel is conveniently located close to everything. The train station was less than 10 mins walk. There's a Tesco express and a Sainsbury's right outside the hotel. The room was clean and spacious enough to fit a queen bed, double sofa bed and a cot. We had a comfortable sleep. We used the pool once, there was a steam room as well. "I hate to leave negative reviews on businesses but I have to call out this place. The rooms were nice and looked clean. We were only here for 3 to 4 hours before checking out at 430am. During my stay here I started to get an itch on my arm while I was sleeping on the bed. I didn’t pay too much attention to it since we were very limited in time but during my plane ride home my arms started to feel itchy from time to time. "Family room - the room, beds and shower room all clean. Plenty of pillows with the option of firm and soft, duvet is a little small for the bed and the one on the sofa bed was also too small if 2 sharing, so you may need to request extra ones. Aircon is fab for the summer kept the room lovely and cool. Sofa bed is a tight squeeze for 2 children but bed has plenty room for 2 adults. Communal areas very clean and spacious although the dining area can get a little busy during the breakfast. As for...
