"Very friendly staff, the room was very clean and bed was comfortable. The pool was full of kids so we didn't went for a swim. Breakfast was good and had many options. The car park was quite full and the spots were a bit tight (even worse because a lot of people didn't know how to park 🙃) But overall was a nice experience! Highly recommend it!"

"Beautiful entrance and bar area however room very dated and old. Painted furniture had lots of scuff and scrape marks no telephone to call reception or order room service, no refrigerator. Pool was closed when we arrived (16.00). Gym very minimal."

"The hotel was full of character. The bar was wonderful. Full of dark panelling and leather sofas. The food was excellent The staff were really nice. The bed was comfy and it was so quiet. The hotel is getting a make over and it will be super but I like it's old worldly charm now. The receptionist, I think her name was Lizzie, apologies for not remembering but she gave us a tour of the rooms in the old part. The honeymoon suite was gorgeous. "Beautiful hotel, second time staying for one night, breakfast included, evening meal have to book separately which was easy to do. Everything about this hotel, location, availability of rooms, staff and food was truly amazing. We will be booking again, probably near Christmas time."

"The accommodation was very good. Breakfast whilst adequate, was not as varied as I’ve had elsewhere. Eg. Scrambled eggs or no eggs. Hotel not easy to find by car and sat nav. Mine gave up. Haven’t seen so many no entry signs in such close proximity and never seen a “Bus gate” before. Beware of this as sat nav’s want to take you through it. DON’T GO there. I’ll probably have a ticket on the mat when I get home. Only one disabled car parking bay and that was coned off. Arriving by train? Not easy...

"5 different members of staff spoke to me from the maintenance man, three of the desk team and two members of staff at breakfast. Felt very very welcomed and genuinely looked after. I usually stay at a Travelodge or a Premier Inn. I will only stay here now. Cleaner, better maintained, more friendly, good room design, useful amenities, handy alcohol vending machine. Free tasty breakfast. Quiet in the night. A great stay."

"Our room was immaculate and very quiet even altho it was in close proximity to the lift. Breakfast the next morning was very good with food levels monitored carefully so that hot food was replenished to match how busy the restaurant was"
