"We stayed at Highlander Mountain House for our 5-year wedding anniversary and overall the property itself is beautiful. The rooms were clean, the design and atmosphere are amazing, and the location is one of our favorites in Highlands. We also loved The Ruffed Grouse and the overall experience of the hotel. The only downside was the noise situation during our stay. The hotel was fully booked with a wedding party, and unfortunately the guests in the room next to us were extremely loud both...

"This property is well located. Outskirts of town but still walkable. Nice coffee shop on site. Staff is friendly. Our room was small but nice and clean. Very comfortable king bed! The place has a 1970’s kind of vibe. Older property but rooms have been nicely restored on the inside. Cozy lobby with fireplace and outdoor firepits. Fun experience! Reasonably priced."

It’s an old house with modern conveniences and has a great story. Walking distance to many shops and restaurants. We couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay."

"The property is beautiful and in a great location to walk to all of Highlands. Our room was very nice and we loved our fireplace. We didn't get to use the amenities due to COVID restrictions/NC Curfew but will stay here again and can't wait to enjoy them then!"
