"Everything was clean and well kept. There was a beautiful outside area with chairs and tables to enjoy the lake view."

"The breakfast was above average for a hotel in this class with nice cheese omelets and sausage links each morning, in addition to other things that I didn't eat. The pool area needs some love. They do have a pool but the lighting there is very dim and dark and it feels "scary" for kids to swim there. It's like the backrooms. The room's beds were comfortable and clean. The room wasn't cleaned after the first night until I checked on that around 5pm."

"This is a lovely, unpretentious motel located in Murphy. Easy walking distance to the shops and restaurants. The room was quiet, comfortable and clean. It is about a 10-12 minute drive to the John C Campbell Folk School and easy driving to various trails and scenic spots."

"We had to wait literally 10-15 minutes before anyone came to the front desk. We called the "800" number to ring the front desk while standing there and still no one. Finally, a young man emerged from somewhere down the hall. While we were checking in "later," it was only 8:30-9:00pm. Weird! Then, we got to our room and as soon as we turned on the lamp....the power to the entire room went out. Weird again! We moved rooms...no issues changing, but this room had a bad odor (like urine). "We ended up booking this place to stay for the weekend but we didn't even check-in in the apartment. The street getting to this place is very rural and tight with no lights and we quickly realized that it would have been impossible for us to drive in and out of it easily at night. The street also doesn't seem to have any lights which makes it dangerous to drive in. Can't really comment for the place inside because we didn't even see it, but more pictures of the apartment should be listed, and...

"Our recent stay at the Ridges was very enjoyable. It was a weekend getaway for me and my gf and it did not disappoint. Breakfast at their restaurant was delicious and the service excellent. We both found our beds to be super comfy with the bedding of European quality. The shower had good pressure and the ac worked well and was quiet. Both my friend and I agreed we would visit again and definitely recommend the resort."
