"We stayed here over the Fourth of July weekend because it was one of the few places available near Port Austin, and for that purpose it worked. "All communications from the staff were timely and easy to understand, considering there is nobody physically on-site, it took a second to understand. The rooms were clean and neatly kept, with every amenity one could ask for. The best part was the proximity to downtown Port Austin, less than a 5 min drive and you’re where you want to be. I would highly recommend staying at the Sun and Sand, I know we will when we venture back!"

(If there was something in the listing about this I missed it.) The room (#7)--everything that could be cleaned was spotless, however the carpeting in the bed area was stained and gross. I'm sure it was vacuumed but but it looked dirty. The "closet" in the bed area was unfinished with pipes going through with unpainted dry wall. But...

"This is a very clean and comfprtable house that overlooks Lake Huron though there is no beach or access. The area is very quiet. The host was quick to respond to questions. Directions, however following mapquest or google are a little inaccurate. There is no Old Bay Rd. or Becacel rds as given. This was confusing in trying to locate the property-had to text host for more accurate information."

"The property was nice. Everything was clean besides the shower. We went to take a shower Saturday night and when we opened the shower door there was sand on the floor. The grout was blue like they sprayed stuff but forgot to wash it. There was also a bunch of hair on the ground and in the drain. We didn’t reach out to the property manager since we were leaving the next morning and it was later at night. But that was very disappointing that the shower was so gross.
