"Nice place to stay. Coffee shop not far away and walkable - very nice. Need a car as narrow lanes to get to and no footpaths. Service at breakfast on the 1st morning was slow but that was due to the young girl serving. Not there when we arrived and waited 10 minutes before she appeared. Left dirty dishes on tables when she could have easily removed when bringing other dishes etc...She was friendly enough. 2nd morning, totally different service. Lady on duty was attentive...

"There is no lift in this hotel. It’s an old Manor House. All clean very spacious rooms , beautiful views. Breakfast was delicious. Very dog friendly "

"I recently stayed at this hotel in the Lake District with my family for five nights. Our main goal was to climb Scafell Pike, and this hotel stood out as the nearest option within my price range. Initially, I didn’t have very high expectations (despite the good reviews), but those quickly changed once we arrived. The location was peaceful and quiet, the car park was large and well-planned, and the room exceeded my expectations—it was far more spacious than any hotel room I’ve stayed in before....
