"Fantastic location, beautiful room made for wonderful stay"

"I was offered an upgrade from a classic double to a feature double (for an extra £30pn) which I took. It was in the old part of the hotel. The room was very cold as the radiators were not working. I enquired at reception and was told that they would speak to someone to see if it could be sorted. A little while later an electric heater was delivered to the room which did not work and another was requested. This only managed to heat the bedroom while the bathroom remained cold. The window next to...

"Clean and modern room, quiet, warm. Staff very helpful. Food good and reasonably priced (evening meal)."

"The bed is comfortable and the bedding was clean as were the towels but the rest of the room Is scruffy! Splats everywhere, the walls the doors, the tables and the back of the toilet. But for the price the bed is comfortable and clean."

"Rookery Hall is nothing short of stunning!. What a place. Beautiful grounds, the building is amazing to look at inside and out, the staff can't do enough for you and the Spa to relax. Me and the Mrs were very sad when our stay came to an end. It's a no brainer if you want a peaceful, romantic stay with your loved one. Absolutely brilliant *****"

"Could not find any staff at check in so had to self check in Not a well lit car park Paid extra to park Great pool"

"Staff very friendly and helpful. 5 minute walk to the theme park"

Front door had light shining through it, light was hanging with loose wires, dead flies, spiders, cob webs, stains on sheets, bed side lights no light bulbs, grouting yellow in bathroom and windows held in with lose paint I did ring to complain but they weren't interested. The hole building needs knocking down. I got an email to say it's being refurbished, and to bear with them. If you...

"Clean room polite staff very helpful"

"Lovely one night stay. Delicious meal in the 2010 brasserie"

"Our room was nice and clean. The staff were happy and helpful. The full English breakfast was delicious."

"I stayed at this hotel thankfully for only one night. The pictures of the room on Expedia were nothing like the reality, they were different rooms and so very misleading. The bathroom and bedroom radiators didn't work and neither did the TV. We called the night porter who brought us an inefficient portable radiator and a TV with around 10 channels, most of which were ineffective. The curtains didn't meet in the middle allowing light from the station to stream into the room all night long. The...
