"A great place to stay!"

"My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our two nights at the 1805 House B&B. The four-poster king-sized bed was very comfortable, the large tub in the bathroom was a delight, and breakfast was delivered to our room each morning. The hosts made check in and check out very easy. We were in the area for a jazz festival and to visit a friend. This was a lovely country stay for the weekend. "

"We really enjoyed staying at postcard, room were clean and everything was so organized and clean. Really like we can cook our food. Only thing is it will be great if you can put small mirror in the bathroom or room."

"My only criticism is that I could hear conversations and a howling dog through the wall of our room. We were in 403, next to a premium corner. Also—not all premium rooms (4) look directly to the river. We first had one that had a river view if you looked between two buildings. I requested a change and was given a lesser quality room, no tub or nicer seating area but a full view. I noticed on my final bill that no adjustment was made for the downgraded room. "Stayed over one night with my husband on a Hudson Valley road trip and The Amelia was true to its 5 star reviews. Misty our hostess greeted us enthusiastically upon arrival with a great tour and useful info about the amenities and the surrounding area. All the common areas are beautifully appointed and truly comfortable. Also loved the fire pit with the Adirondack chairs and the lounges by the pool . Very peaceful and totally chill. "This hotel would be great if you were desperate and needed a place to sleep. The good things are the parking was very accessible and they had coffee. In the morning. The continental breakfast consisted of toast and Raisin Bran. The room had new carpet but lingering smell of smoke covered up by a large plugin deodorizer did not help. Checkout was easy but I still haven’t received my invoice for the stay."

"Stay away...First, this property advertises a swimming pool however, when asked about it the desk clerk indicated that it hadn't been opened since 2019! This prominently featured in the ad. Also, the room were pretty bad! Not at all clean and the bathroom had mold and dirt as well as broken features. The door to the room was very difficult to keep locked. There were poor "breakfast" options (prepackaged mini-coffeecakes and "possibly" orange juice) and we were told by the clerk that he...

"The room smelled of mildew and tobacco, it looked terrible as well. The pool was empty (no water), the amenities looked old. We walked out and went somewhere else."

"The location of the property was excellent! The room we had was clean. Two things that were not good- there is no real kitchen area,(or area to gather outside of our room) it is in a small hallway by the back door and does not have a freezer or ice available. Our air conditioner did not work properly and woke us up throughout the night."
