"The 34 mile trek up to 6000 feet elevation was scary. Do NOT drive up there via Hwy 243. It was both scary and made me sick. You can drive there via Hemet. Still a tad stressful but much better. My room smelled of gas as soon as I walked in. It was attended to but after the scariest rollercoaster ride getting there, I was like what is going on? Idyllic Idyllwild is so beautiful though. I was grateful for the experience. "

"We stayed in Fern cabin which had nice queen bed. It is self check-in with key code which is secure. The room had plenty of closet space and small desk along with dresser if needed. The kitchen is equipped with whatever you need to cook. Good size frig, stove and microwave. Keurig if you need it. It does have fireplace to use but bring wood or you can buy nearby. Heating was perfect. Nice and quiet and close to town. Our only negative was our sofa needs firmer cushion :( I say this for those of...

"Had a wonderful experience!! Cabin bigger than it looks, very clean, TONS of towels (which I respect), and it had all your basic needs. Communication from the hosts was easy and responsive! The location is absolutely perfect! Easy walk to town! The backyard is perfect for dogs but make sure to keep them leashed. We will absolutely be coming back!"

"First, this is an old, worn out hotel. Neither of the two deadbolts on the door of first room that we were in would work and the bottom hinge was broken. The door frame had not been repaired after it had been kicked in at some point in time. When I complained, management's first concern was that they would have to clean the room again, not that the door wasn't lockable. According to them, all of the doors don't work correctly.
