"So first I want to sum up my first experience walking in the Drury on Poydras. Felt like I was coming home. I have been a loyal Marriott, Hilton and Holiday inn customer and can't say that I ever felt this way after walking into one of their properties. SO here is the why for the above. Parking is flexible. The front desk folks said "If you have a reservation you can park early and leave late. Free near premium drinks and appetizers at 5PM. NOLA free stuff, really? Free Hot breakfast. Full selection and they were not powdered eggs. Filtered water machine at the pool entrance. Pool was clean and had nice furniture. Everybody that worked there that I came in contact with was super friendly and helpful. I locked my key in my room and the very friendly housekeeping person walked me and my party to the Elevator to use her key to let us get off on the 3rd floor from the 7th. I wouldn't say it was the cheapest one on Expedia but if you add up all the perks it was definitely the best value and walking distance to the Superdome and Smoothie King Center."

"Super large room and a decent breakfast but unfortunately the room was gross - hair on the shower wall, dirty floor and stains on walls. The showers didn’t work for a few minutes each time we flushed one of the toilets. Thankfully the beds were decent and clean. Also great location - not in the thick of things but close enough to walk and explore. "

"Not worth the money. I will start by saying the location is very good, it’s in the heart of everything, and almost everything is within walking distance. However, the room itself did not meet expectations at all. The space was decent in size, but when we arrived, the couch cushions and pull out mattress were stained, and even the bed sheets and pillows for the pull out had noticeable yellow spots. The windows were also dirty and full of smudges, which made the space feel even less clean. The staff was quick to bring replacements, but unfortunately, we found a bug in the new sheets they provided. The most concerning part was a moldy paper towel stuck to the ice cubes coming out of the freezer container. We all drink from that fridge and use the ice, so that was especially unsettling. The room also didn’t match the photos provided, and the view was underwhelming, with no decoration like what was shown online, mostly just plain white walls. The bathroom, however, was nicer. Most nights, we came back to a strong smell of weed in the apartment, and none of us smokes. The “zen garden” or outdoor area was also misleading, just some fake flowers and a statue, not a garden at all. The community patio also felt bare and disappointing. While the staff was helpful and responsive, the overall experience was well below average. We regret not booking a hotel instead, especially considering the price. We ended up paying more than average since it seemed to be a peak vacation period. We lef"

"Need to request room service. Fridge never worked and despite bringing it up to management, unsure of it was checked up on — smelt foul. Certainly not a 3 or 4 star hotel. "

"First night toilet got clogged had to switch rooms middle of the night. Water pressure was a huge issue for showering. "

"A bit shabby (non-functioning outlets, rusty bathroom light fixtures, missing drawer handles) but still charming. Nice staff, good location. If you aren't comfortable with a little wear and tear, stay at the Intercontinental down the street."
