"The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The overall experience was good but not excellent. The water went out for half a day in the whole city so that was a big factor on why it wasn’t excellent. Also, the area around the hotel is not that nice and there’s a lot of older buildings that seem dirty. The quality of the soaps and amenities could be improved. The hotel itself was very clean in the rooms and around the hotel. "

"Overall, our stay at Hotel Bóvedas was a pleasant one. The staff was truly excellent—very friendly, attentive, and easy to communicate with, especially via WhatsApp, which made everything more convenient and seamless during our stay. The room itself was comfortable, though it could benefit from some renovation and updates. We also experienced a few minor inconveniences, such as having only one remote control for two TVs, which required us to call for an additional one. Additionally, the in-room phones were not functioning properly. One concern worth mentioning is that the hallway leading to the room had missing bars on the security railing, which felt unsafe—especially while traveling with a toddler. Despite these issues, the overall experience was good thanks to the outstanding service from the staff. With a few improvements to the facilities and maintenance, this hotel could easily offer an even better stay."

"This 1st trip to Colombia & staying at this quaint little boutique hotel in the San Lazaro art district was unforgettable. The entire hotel staff from the manager to the waitstaff hands down were the most amazing people I’ve ever met! So professional, courteous, attentive, and accommodating. The hotel, rooms, & restaurant are well maintained. The neighborhood is well maintained, on one side is the San Felipe castle & on the other side is a really nice mall with lots of stores and large food court. It is in a safe area and a 10 minute walking distance to the walled city and Getsemani. I only took an uber at night. Breakfast is included and they provide transport to & from the airport. They offer full concierge service. Albeit small, the pool is located on the terrace with a view of the castle and Manga. The full buffet breakfast is extensive and delicious. Fresh fruits and natural juices. The rooms are clean and spacious and offer nice views of the city or castle depending on which floor you’re staying in. The corner rooms have balconies. The beds are unbelievably comfortable. Overall, I love everything about the San Lazaro Art hotel and I was incredibly impressed with the quality of the hotel. They truly exceeded my expectations. I look forward to returning to Cartagena and staying at the same hotel. "

"we had a wonderful stay. We booked the suite with the private pool which we loved. We spent a lot of time around that pool. The hotel is super charming contantly cleaned and very welcoming. everyone was nice but Andrew and Katherine went out of their way for us every day. Recommended"
