"We had such a lovely weekend at the Old Bell Hotel. The staff is so warm and friendly which definitely made our stay. The property itself is very uniquely decorated and had so much character and charm. The staff accommodated our every need and our room (we booked a junior master) was spacious, beautifully decorated and so comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone! The breakfast was also delicious! "

"The rooms are comfortable and suprisingly quit as at back of pub. The rooms were cleaned every day unless you requested not to. Standard of clening very good, tea and coffee making facilities in room as well as a fridge. The only downside was slight crack in sink unit bit it was hairline. The pub and staff are very friendly. The pub is a nice feel lick a regulars sort of pud, with lots of nooks to go into to get privacy. All in all highly reccomended."

"We had a good stay, although the hotel room we stayed in was in need of updating, it was very clean and large. The bathroom definitely needs updating as the door and floor are a bit splintered/ cracked, though it was perfectly clean, new towels are needed as the ones we had were very clean but quite thin from being in use for a long time. The reception area appears in the process of updating, hopefully the carpets in the corridors will also be replaced as they let it down a bit. The restaurant was very nice, the menu was a bit limited but our food was fantastic and it was served quickly and was nice and hot. The best part of the stay was definitely the staff, from checking in to checking out they were outstanding. All were very professional but also friendly and approachable, we’ve stayed in many hotels and have to say the staff here were the best that we’ve met. "

"The room was very neglected and obviously hadn't been properly cleaned ie dirty window ledges, dust everywhere, bare repairs in the bathroom, remote control needed new batteries, frayed carpet into bathroom - the rooms were nothing like advertised on website and are certainly not worth the £492 we paid for the five nights we were there - only worth at least half of that. I am emailing expedia separately with complaint. We learnt there were only 4 members of staff looking after the hotel and was due to be sold sometime in January. The bar/restaurant did not appear to be open and customers few and far between."

"Pleasant good sized room with ensuite and comfy bed. Downstairs the bar area looked welcoming and seemed very popular. Staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately they didn't serve breakfast but the Summer Cafe across the road was excellent. The hotel is located in the middle of Malmesbury so well positioned for exploring this delightful little town. It was also convenient for us to visit family who lived locally."

"A wonderful stay, delightful evening meals, and after finding out I would be leaving before breakfast each morning they provided a selection of fruit, pastries, and fruit juice as a “breakfast bag” each day."
