"Well appointed home. A little further from beach access than we thought (about 5 blocks). Would have liked beach chairs and an umbrella but they are available for rent. Managers were very helpful and courteous. Pool was great. "

Bahia del Sol Beach Front Boutique Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"It was like staying inside a well kept jungle! The wildlife (birds and plants) on the property were gorgeous. We saw workers constantly cleaning pools and thermals, tending to the grounds, there was always someone around but no one ever bothered us to make us feel like we had to order something. The breakfast was amazing! We only ordered dinner once and it was beautiful. I was okay that the location was closer to the volcano than the downtown. My only complaints are that there weren't enough places in the room or bathroom to hang wet swim suits and I didn't love the bathroom products provided (shampoo and body wash). I would stay here again!"

"This was our first time here and third to CR. We loved the property and wished we had more time to enjoy the amenities. It’s quiet compared to Playa Flamingo but for our last night couldn’t ask for better. The sunset views at the top of the hill were stunning. Service was one of the best we had from the moment we opened the car door to the time we checked out. Highly recommend! Cute quiet area to stroll through. Not lively but nice choices for food and drinks for an intimate setting at the beach. We’ll be back for longer."

"Beautiful property, loved the private outside sitting area and the beaches! Our favorite beach was the 2minute walk from property, bigger, calm waters, saw 2 devil rays in the surf. Host was very friendly and helpful. No restaurant on property but does have full kitchen.Note: beach in front of hotel is not private and gets busy, loud at times with ATV tours. Guard walks the property at night, makes you wonder why needed. Pool was very warm, not very refreshing. Also note, only bedrooms are air conditioned, main living areas are not!"

"From the time we arrived until the time we departed, we remarkably enjoyed the stay with this amazing couple who owns the hotel In fact, our purpose for being there was because we decided to come to Costa Rica one day early having had a separate place booked for the rest of the week. We did not lose contact with our original hosts and they were the most helpful and encouraging resource that we could’ve had in Costa Rica The rooms are great, the pool is crystal blue, the breakfast is off the charts, amazing, and once again the hosts are fantastic. Highly recommend you check it out"
