"Room was spacious, great shower. However the room we were in (an upgraded room) was over the kitchen and every morning at 7am something started up and all we could hear was the hum of it which is annoying when you would like a lie in.
We ate both nights in the pub. The food is good but very pricey. On our 2nd night we both had a special which was gammon, 1egg, chips, pinapple and piccalily. I pointed out that it said two eggs but we only got one each. The waiter was apologetic but just said it...

"Really well situated for the Poole Harbour area. The quay is about a one minute walk and there are many bars and restaurants with a 5 minute walk.
The hotel itself is in a charming old property and has a lovely outdoor terrace area for eats and drinks"
"Loved: facilities, staff, food fantastic. Spa wonderful but some minor repairs required. Nothing to detract from our stay. Enjoyed tasting menu with wine flight and also James Martin’s restaurant. All in all a great stay, would definitely like to return"
"Loved the hotel, great value for money. I went for the cheapest room and it didn't feel like you were having a cosy room. Loved that there was a bath and shower. Felt great for adults but also child friendly, which is great when you like an adults hotel but are traveling with a child. Pool was lovely, views are great, felt like you were in the South of France. The only let down for me was the food. Breakfast was great. However we stayed on a Sunday and both restaurants had a Sunday roast menu....

"I was a bit disappointed having stayed here before. Found the staff very standoffish and the place needed a bit of a lift - for the price of the room it was a bit tired and the spa was really poor, cold pool and looked tired - definitely better choices for the money"
