"This hotel has an old worldly charm about it. The buffet at breakfast and dinner is incredible and the staff very pleasant. A lovely touch having someone play the piano in the evening. Would stay again when visiting Colombo. They organised a great 4 hour city tuk tuk tour too which was fantastic."

Sri Lanka has to recognize the importance of preserving this historical part of town. So much potential in these golden age buildings "

"Great for a convenient, not-too-touristy stay upon arriving in Colombo. The hotel is hidden and quiet and the staff is extremely hospitable. Rooftop views for the restaurant are the highlight. "

"Seriously, other bad reviews are exagerated. People expect to have a palace for 20$?? The room was perfectly find for this kind of budget hotel. Staff was very kind and helpfull. Neighbourhood can be creepy on sundays and at night but ok during the day. Bed was confortable. I had a view on the city and the lotus tower on the 6th floor. "
