A really beautiful hotel which seemed transformed from an old, fancy house. It is very close to the plaza, only two blocks. The room was clean with a very comfortable bed and strong air conditioning. Super tasty breakfast in the morning, and they accommodated for my partner's vegan diet. The staff were so kind and helpful with information we needed. We didn't expect such a beautiful house, given the walk from the main road where the bus dropped us off. Even so, we were so happy with or stay and glad we visited Ciénaga.

This hotel is just beautiful. The owner took great care in looking after us. She even set us up with tickets and transportation to Carnaval in Barranquilla over the weekend. Breakfast was delicious all three days and the charming square is a two-minute walk away. The hotel was more than I could have asked for.

We loved the architecture and character of the historic building. We loved the helpful and friendly staff. We liked the varied breakfasts. However after 4 days, we were shocked when we were presented with a bill of 60,000 pesos (US$15) for coffee refills at the complimentary breakfasts. There are no lavanderias in the area so the hotel offers to do laundry for guests. We were angry that this hotel charged twice the amount that other hotels have charged us for laundry. Compared to lavanderias, this hotel charged about 3 times the typical price.

A jewel in a cozy town

A beautiful little boutique hotel with a very welcoming host who did everything to make you feel at home including recommendation for dinner (Plaza San Juan which has great Columbia and Japanese fusion) and Sunset viewing. Clean and tidy place to be recommended if you need a break driving from the beaches in the north to Cartagena.
