"A charming Gastropub hotel on the edge of Epping Forest conveniently located near Chingford overground station with direct links to Liverpool St. The hotel is a tudor style timber and white plaster building with stained glass windows amongst many other old world embellishments. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable and the restaurant a treat with exceedingly helpful and pleasant staff."

"Initial booking was easy and straightforward. But the check-in process left a lot to be desired! The Virtual Front Desk, ask you to send them photographic ID via WhatsApp or email, and they send you the access codes to the property, along with videos on how to use the locks. Once inside the property, you then need to navigate a labyrinth of hallways and staircases in the hope of finding your room. "Hotel and staff were extremely helpful. Never had any issues while staying here. Bed was super comfortable, and the room was huge for what i expected. Not sure why the shower was a foot higher than the floor, and to get out was quite dangerous when your wet, and the floor is damp. But the rooms are excellent. I stayed on the 3rd floor. "On Saturday at 2 in the afternoon we were told we would be moved to a different location. Which is late notice but understandable due to a broken bed. However once we arrived at the new location we were appalled. Initially the front door had been kicked in. Then we made it to the bedroom where bedding was dirty and clearly hadn’t been changed since last used. It was also falling apart. The bathroom had sticky stains on the floor alongside mould in the shower, tap and window. The mould...
