"Good central location with excellent transport links. Close to lots of restaurants and bars and the main tourist attractions. The hotel staff were all very friendly. The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed and great shower. We were at the back of the hotel which was very quiet."

"First the good stuff, it’s very clean and has friendly staff. However, for the price, it’s not worth it. The beds are extremely uncomfortable & older. We asked for no feather bedding/pillows due to allergies when we booked(2 months in advance & received a message confirming), when we checked in right at 3pm they advised us they didn’t have a room without feathers ready so we had to wait. They did give us a late check out for the trouble, but when we got to the room both beds had feather pillows....

"We had a wonderful time at Penn’s View! There were three of us in a room with two queen beds & it felt surprisingly spacious. It’d be nice to get a room with a view the next time we’re here, but there was a sweet view from a window near the elevator that we took advantage of every time we walked by. The staff was very helpful & the property nice & clean. We didn’t eat at the restaurant, but the bar was lovely - both the bartenders & our drinks made it very worthwhile! We didn’t have a car, but...

"great location, room was great, hallways and elevator area are a bit dated and dark. otherwise a great place to stay to get around Philly. stafff was great. did not try the restaurant or coffee shop. market street is at times a bit sketchy"

"The robes were a nice touch, Did not like all the noise from the door slamming. Every day/ morning....didn't like the way tub filled with water during each shower...."

"We reserved a room with a queen size bed but there was only a full size bed. They moved us to room with a queen. Our new room did experience a clogged bathroom sink. They did extend us a credit."

"Always nice to stay at this property when visiting my Penn student. The bed was super comfortable but the bathroom was a little shabby this time. Also didn’t have cash for valet tip and asked the front desk if there was a cash machine. It was down due to building maintenance. She didn’t inform me the valets can accept Venmo. I was so worried I wouldn’t be able to tip!"

"Clean rooms and beautiful views"

"The valets were so friendly and Mohamed could not have been more helpful getting us settled in. We remembered him from our last stay 2 years ago. We love Sofitel. It’s classy and European in a perfect location."
