"We had a wonderful time staying at the Lao Orchid Hotel. We spent five nights there, and it felt like staying with family. The décor is very traditional Lao style, which added to the charm. There’s no pool, which was perfectly fine for us. Our room was sparkling clean, and the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. Breakfast was fresh and delicious—especially the coffee. "Comparing same price range and hotel class, the rooms are much smaller in size, the lighting in poor (entrance and walkway to bathroom is dark), the entrance is very large and spacious but only 1 sofa for guests to sit / wait, the staff doesn’t greet guests as they walk in, the cleaning staff still comes in to clean your room even with the do not disturb sign on. Overall there are better same class hotel with better customer service, larger rooms and better overall value for your money."
