"This hotel is a really perfect balance of history and renovated amenities. The staff were incredible all around. Rooms were nice and comfortable and quiet. The pool needs a but more care as it is popular with the birds but otherwise the roof is amazing and I enjoyed it every day I was there. Exercise extra caution after dark in the area around the hotel. Person on moped attempted to snatch my phone 1 block away. Hotel feels safe and secure. Just extra caution is needed after dark. "The hotel is very cool. The room was very spacious, quiet and had a great view. The breakfast on the terrace was wonderful and the staff was friendly and very helpful. Being able to park our car was definitely convenient. The location is great, it gave us the opportunity to see the city as we walk to the touristic area"

"It is a unique property; definitely a boutique hotel, which I prefer. I would recommend you ask for a 2nd or 3rd floor. My room on the 1st floor was right on the street with no privacy or natural light unless I opened the shutters. Also, I arrived by taxi at night. As we drove through the surrounding neighbourhood, the "historic" area was more ghetto than I expected from their photos. Many of the older buildings that would have been grand back in the day, are empty, in need of major repair....

"Room was quite spacious but no fridge. Staff were friendly and helpful. There is drinking water in the breakfast area. Location wise, the path to the hotel seems a bit sketchy at night. It’s a 30 min walk to the main attractions. There are lots of things to explore on the way so not bad. Overall a good place to stay at."
