The Charlestown Breachway. This narrow inlet connects Ninigret Pond with the Atlantic Ocean. During the peak tides, the current can be quite strong. Strong enough to make it difficult, if not impossible, to swim across the short distance. On the right side of the image is East Beach, a magnificent miles long beach. The only way to access it is either by foot, four wheel vehicle ( no paved roads, only sand - and permit is required ) or by boat. #beach
It's one of the last summer-like days in late September and the weather could not have been better. I'm at the entrance of the Charlestown Breachway. Here, the Atlantic Ocean flows into Ninigret Pond, a salt water estuary. It's a perfect get-away-from-it-all spot. The current can run through here pretty fast between tides. #beach

Fix the window cranks, paper holder came off and water pressure seemed kinda low .. however the water was nice and warm .. absolutely loved the fireplace and how spacious the rooms were . Though I would come back again on new years it’s was quiet 😊
