"One of the best hostels I have stayed in due to the vibes and activities that we all have there. Only thing that needs some work is the politeness of the reception staff."

"Overall, we had a good stay. The front desk was welcoming, the hotel is very clean, and the location is excellent-we were able to walk to many restaurants and attractions. Our room was small but comfortable.
One thing we found unusual was that although breakfast was incl w/ our stay, we would be charged 20EUR/person to eat breakfast on our arrival morning, w/ our incl breakfast starting the following day.
The hotel was very helpful w/ arranging transportation and excursions. However, we had a frustrating miscommunication regarding our transportation to Heraklion. Due to the amount of luggage, I contacted concierge to request a larger vehicle and was offered a minibus at a higher price. I responded "As long as it fits all the luggage," which I believe indicated to proceed. Unfortunately, that was not considered a confirmation and our original transportation was canceled, as well. I understand that I could have responded w/ a "yes" but I also wish they had followed up to confirm rather than leaving us w/out transportation . Thankfully, they were able to arrange another minibus that morning, although our departure was delayed.
There was also an unnecessary comment from the concierge that we "should have" booked the Balos excursion by boat after ours was canceled due to the fire risk.
Despite this, we enjoyed our stay. Excellent location, cleanliness, and overall helpfulness of the staff outweigh the problems. I would still recommend Samaria Hotel."
"As soon as we arrived we were greeted by the staff and they could not be more welcoming, polite and helpful. We got to our room (we did have to go up some stairs but nothing too bad) and it was extremely clean. The location was perfect, we were a 5minute walk to golden beach, which was stunning. As well as a 15min taxi drive to Chania old town. Which the staff helped us book. There was a bus stop right outside the hotel to go elsewhere too. However the highlight of our trip was definitely the staff, from the bar staff to the hotel staff. They were always helpful with giving recommendations, and extremely kind and greeted us with a smile (no matter what time we came in!)
Couldn’t recommend it enough :)
We will be booking again ASAP!"
"I LOVED this hotel! It’s beautiful & peaceful boutique retreat in the center of Old Port but wonderfully tucked away down a small pedestrian alley providing a peaceful environment with all the convenience. The staff were warm, attentive and friendly at both the front desk and the restaurant. The food at the restaurant was fantastic…not to be missed! I stayed in room 102 which was a bit nicer lay out than my friends room who was in 101"
"The location is really great and the hotel is lovely. The staff are incredible- friendly and helpful. Wonderful breakfast. Did not like the smell of the water in the toilet. I imagine it has to do with the water being recycled (grey water) and for such an expensive hotel to not replenish water bottles daily was a surprise. Everything else was fantastic."
"A pretty clean room, small but efficient, extremely quiet, comfortable bed, great working AC, internet is good but ask them how to log on using the key on the tv screen, breakfast was fantastic - loads of options and friendly service. Right on the water."

"The property is beautiful and very well maintained. The staff will go above and beyond to help you. There were times where the kids overtook the pool, which without having kids, didn't make for the most relaxing time. Still a great stay. Breakfast was absolutely delicious!"
