"Four years ago, we stayed at the Hotel Les Grands Montets as part of our Tour du Mont Blanc ten-day trek. We had two nights there as we prepared for our last two legs of hiking on our trek. Unfortunately, poor weather did not permit us to take the preferred route to the Lac Blanc -- wind and precipitation made that leg too dangerous. We did an alternate route. "Which was this hotel because of it’s close to the train station as well as the ski tram, which is a short walk. I was doing a ski trip so I made the logistics a lot easier. Didn’t realize that this hotel was in the sports center, which itself is quite impressive with a hockey rink three pools, curling rink, gymnasium, full gym and the bistro. "The hotel was situated in a perfect spot, we went in August, and the place is walkable across town. The hotel was nice and welcoming. Very nice atmosphere in the evenings, with the entertainment dances, kids loved it. Overall the food was good too. Would love to come back in the winter, can imagine it to be even nicer!"
