"After doing A LOT of research on hotels in this area (as other family members had booked nearby) I decided to book the Adagio Nation and have to say it's fantastic. From the very warm welcome from Jakub and all the team including the manager (apologies I forgot the name!) it's a really nicely run, friendly place. It's literally just a few minutes' walk from Metro line 6 at Daumsenil (maps often says Bel-Air station is closer but it's not quite as nice a location, so recommend using Daumesnil)....

"The hotel is in a good area if you want a less touristy part of the city. It is a historic hotel and it is well kept. There are plenty of coffee shops, eateries, stores and access to buses and metro. It is safe and generally quiet after dark. Some of the staff were not as friendly as others. The internet didn't work for the first two days of our stay and they sometimes rudely insisted that it was our iPhones even though our phones are relatively new. They finally got that fixed by adding...

"A pleasant small hotel near to the Metro, Supermarket, Boulangerie and several restaurants. We were upgraded and had a large 4th floor room facing onto the road, well decorated and lit but short of storage space. Breakfast was good, with nice coffee and DIY orange juice. A day by day change of cheese variety, and some ham, would be an improvement."

"overall i think the staff were the most disappointing- the staff gave the energy you were the worst burden of their life. i know english can be a task - but belittling eng speakers and make them feel less than is not customary in any language. or, maybe it was because i am gay checking in with my husband and the staff were homophobic? maybe? the staff were awful, mean, made us feel like we were less than, made us feel like we the biggest burden. absolutely definitely wouldn’t recommend for lgbt...

"Really great hostel Great breakfast Clean and well connected My only annoyance was the ladder to the beds was extremely noisy and where they had repaired the wall it didn’t leave enough space for the door so every time someone left the room the door would scrape against the wood and be unnecessarily loud. But these were very minor problems and one very specific to just the room I happened to be in. A excellent hostel for a very reasonable price comparative to Paris hotels"
