"Comfortable rooms and beds with a good breakfast in the morning"

"We arrived around 5:00Pm, for a long weekend the wether was stormy. We struggled to find the place as it is in the middle of nowhere next to a farmhouse. The layout was good with ample space but there’s no shower gels or hand washing soap in bathrooms. Heating stopped working the next day. Tried contacting the Sykes office and unable to get through. "Firstly I would not recommend this place to stay to anyone. On the plus side the room was clean but any so called amenities were pretty basic for what was described as 4 star. To be told on arrival by the manager/chef/barman/probably everything this as he seemed to be the only person on the premises, that there was no food due to no delivery was a bit of a blow. "The hotel is very tired, but the owners are trying to tidy it up and decorate. The facilities in the bedroom were poor, nowhere to hang clothes, curtains don't close tv didn't work. Having said that, it is only rated a 2 star and I will certainly stay again both for the quirkiness and the lovely staff."
