I needed a place to spend the night in Catania before taking a bus to Milazzo, and Palazzo Bicocca was perfect. The rooms are clean and have everything you need and its within a quick walk to so many great restaurants and my favorite wine bar.

This property is in the PERFECT location for exploring the main sites of Catania, including the main squares, via Etna and the fish market. The host was super helpful and available via WhatsApp whenever needed. It's not a luxury property but the room was big, the bed was comfortable and it was fantastic value for money.

Perfect location

Perfect location right in the centre of the old city. The rooms are on the first floor and there is no escalator, so a short climb up with your luggage is unavoidable. We did the check-in on our own and throughout the 2 nights that we stayed there, we haven't sighted any reception staff.

Host who went above and beyond all expectations!

Alberto was a fantastic host, he accomodated are cancelled flightthen our delayed replacement flight. He got us checked in at nearly midnight, and let us check out a bit later as we were exhausted from our difficult flight. What a great host and a lovely place to stay

We recently had a wonderful stay at Palazzo Bicocca Rooms in Catania, Italy. The location is absolutely central—perfect for exploring the city on foot, with plenty of restaurants and eateries just steps away. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by our friendly host, who went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. Check-in was smooth and hassle-free, and we really appreciated the personal touches and attention to detail. Some highs and lows. AC unit leaked all over the spare bed but worked just fine. It was hot in town, so it was nice to have. The room was good, lots of towels. Smell of cigarette smoke in the hallway was really strong despite the rooms being “smoke free”. Great location, 10/10, very walkable. Host was responsive and offered many suggestions.

Not what we expected. Our room had a window facing another building with no natural light coming into the room. So it felt like a basement. Lamps were cheap and uncomfortable. The bed was alright, but the pillows were so hard they could break my neck. Access to the room was alright. But check-in with host was weird and hectic. Only good advantage of this room is the location close to good restaurants and sights.

My stay here was beyond delightful. Staff was sooo helpful, from helping me book an airport transfer to helping me find stores and restaurants nearby. The response time was 24/7 and so fast. I can’t recommend it enough. The palazzo is BEAUTIFUL and so so so nice to just walk around and admire. Only thing is there are lots of stairs so be prepared. It wasn’t a problem for us at all though. It’s quick and easy to access the property. They also have complimentary espresso! Which is lovely for the morning before heading out to the town.

Great location, memorable stay.

This BnB enjoys an excellent location from where to explore all of central Catania on foot. Piazza Duomo and the fish market with all the restaurants are basically just around the corner. The shopping street of via Etnea is essentially across the road. The old customs house is less than 15 minutes away on foot. Our room was comfortable, reasonably priced and nicely decorated. The property is at the first floor of a beautiful palazzo (which does need some attention and has no lift). We each had a small luggage, so walking up the stairs of the common parts was not a great deal.

I’m very grateful for the property manager at Palazzo Bicocca Rooms. I had an excellent experience visiting Catania for the first time because of this great location. It is in the heart of the city, close to the Cathedral Basilica, Piazza Duomo, shopping, and dining galore. Any foodie would relish in the opportunity to sample the variety of restaurant choices all within this beautiful Sicilian town. My trip included an excursion to one of the most active volcanoes, Mount Etna, which included a food & wine tasting. I would not have taken this tour unless the property manager strongly suggested it! He is very knowledgeable of the area, kind, and willing to work with your needs.
