I made perfect choice booking the guest house whoch was close to Castries. The place was clean and so very comfortable. Well equiped kitchen with everything you would need for the trip. What sold me was the service. Anne, the owner is a super wonderful host. We arrived on the ferry after 9pm. She collected us from ferry dock. She was concerned about whether we were hungry or in need of a supermarket stop. Then she brought us to a food truck so my brother who complained of hunger could get something to eat. When we hot to the guest house, we were in awe of the view of Castries in the night. Waking up the next morning and seeing Castries in the day was more awesome. Anne was so helpful. She gave us a ride to Castries the next day and a typed guide as to how to make it back home (where bus stops and taxi stands were) plus she told us that we vould call her at anytime if we needed anything. The first night. Anne inquired as to our plans the next day. She then offered and next dsy dropped us off to the Rodney Bay bus stand. Wonderful experience as our boat was leaving Castries next day at 7:30am. Anne dropped us to the ferry terminal at 5:30am. That itself deserves 10 out of 10 rating as i know many hosts wouldnt do that. Anne cares about her guests. Its not only about making money. I will definitely be back. And for those misewabs who spoke of the dogs, they only bark when you go up to their kennel. Great guard dogs who made us feel even more secure.

Ms. Anne (the owner of the property) was most accommodating especially since we checked in much later than expected. She quickly adjusted to our needs (i.e., providing adapters and toiletries we didn't think to bring, etc.). She even provided us with eggs for breakfast and gave us a ride into town the next day. And, during our stay on the island what Ms. Anne had at Hilltop View that none of the other properties had -- and we stayed at a very nice resort hotel later that week -- HOT WATER!!! A most welcome commodity that cannot be taken for granted. In fact, our stay with Ms. Anne was supposed to be a one-day affair as we worked our way from one end of the island (Vieux Fort to Castries to Rodney Bay & back) but because she was so accommodating the first time around, we circled back to stay at her property again that week before leaving the island. She is very hardworking and conscientious about the maintenance of her property. And, the dogs were of no issue (and I actually have a fear of dogs), once they realize you're supposed to be there, they were good...protective even. The view from the property was most lovely and picturesque. The title of the property is perfectly characteristic of the place.

It was stated on the page that the property was located in the centre of the town I.e. 1 min away from the Castries Market. However it was in fact 30 mins away from the Market and on a really steep hill we had to hike down each morning and at night was required to get a taxi to get there for safety reasons, meaning more to the cost of the overall stay. Although our host, Ann, was very nice, she helped us get around sometimes and pick us up one time. There was Netflix in the room which was useful since everything closed after 5pm… also there was only body wash in the shower and at night was sometimes noisy with the dogs howling.Overall the guesthouse was clean and equipped with tea and coffees but just the distance from the town was very hard to get around.

St Lucia Hilltop View Guest House

The Hilltop View Guest House was a very pleasant experience in any way The host Anne was extremely helpful and pleasant. Got help that made my stay easier and joyful. The distance to town was a bit longer than expected but Anne offered ride during the day and buses worked well.

The owner was very hospitable, and the room is what you could expect for the price. It had some good views On the outside of the room. It was extremely difficult to locate even our taxi driver had a hard time finding it. The dogs do bark all night and it's a little noisy. You must also pay for air conditioning $20. I may stay here again if i'm ever in the castries area and need a place to stay for the night.

Spending my vacation at Hill Top View was like returning home to visit a relative. I had the opportunity to reconnect with my Caribbean roots. Anne, the owner truly made it possible. She gave me all of the tools necessary to explore Castries and beyond! She would very often give me a ride into town and showed me how to use the island’s very convenient bus service. Anne was the perfect host and the ultimate St. Lucian Anbassador!

Amusing scenery of the Port in Castries - It was like my home away from home! There are many positive things i can say about Hill Top View Guesthouse with its hospitable and accommodating owner Ann. Before traveling to St. Lucia for my first time, i really wasn't looking for anything special in a place to stay. As long as Wifi, Fridge, Coffee Maker, Stove & Microwave Oven were available - yet i got more amenities than i needed for my stay. I just needed some place that was close enough to my daughter's camp area at the Marchand Combined Primary School in Castries, Hill Top was about 20 mins away and Ann would provide transportation for that or the supermarket. I can say i stumbled upon the perfect getaway - from my country and "civilization"😁 so to speak. The funny thing is that i did not even realize it exactly what i needed until my second day at Hill Top View Guest House. This is where i want to be whenever i am in St. Lucia and I'd recommend this place to anyone, especially if they are in search for tranquility. Ian Gordon

It felt like being at home. All amenities were available. The host was extremely helpful and hospitable. Questions about the island and the best way to get things done around the island were well answered. I would highly recommend. Also, the view from the Entrepot hilltop of the capital city below was beautiful. It was lovely watching the cruise ships arrive in the mornings and depart in the evenings.

This property is very old and is not in great condition. It could do with a huge facelift. The owner also has several dogs locked up who are barking constantly almost all night.
