"A really nice quaint old building with countless amounts of wonderful antiques that you can look at throughout the stairwell and hallway the room was adequately appointed beds were very comfortable. Shower over the bath was great. The stuff were very welcoming and friendly. Unlikely to go back again if I need a location stay in the area I’d recommend it 100 hundred percent great value for money. "

"Property was what we expected. Only niggles I’ve got are: Beds in the second bedroom were a little small, I’m 5’11’’ and was too tall for it. There was a constant sound from what could have been a boiler that did keep me up at night. Host was responsive and polite though. Overall good stay. I’d recommend, but for slightly smaller people who don’t mind constant noise."

"The Woden is always a " go to ' place for us guaranteed a comfortable stay. The rooms are impeccably clean. The room had great facilities. Towels shower gels tea & coffee even water in bottles. Plates cutlery and a fridge. Everything and more. The beds are so comfortable and the place is so quiet. "

"Absolute gem - beautiful accommodation and fabulous staff. Highlight of my stay was throwing the ball for their two awesome Border Collies and chatting to the staff/managers at breakfast. "

"The hotel is beautiful with excellent staff members who can't do enough for you. The restaurant food is lovely and the breakfast included is such good value for money. Everyone was very happy on the business trip. One only issue is the guest Wifi is quite weak from the upstairs rooms so had to come to the bar to do some work. Thank you Himley House for an amazing stay!!"

"I don't know what to say other than I have sent my review to YHA with "top marks" for everything. From the friendly welcome received on check-in to the cleanliness of the room allocated, everything was absolutely perfect for the overnight stay. I slept very well & enjoyed the morning coffee in the café downstairs. It was all spot-on and excellent value for money. I will recommend to friends and I would like to book to stay there again. "

"The room was big and comfortable and the shower was very powerful which was nice. Reception staff were friendly. Breakfast was fine. Air conditioning worked really well but made an annoying noise. Had a message before I checked in suggesting I download an app. I used this app to book a table for dinner but when we checked in they didn't have the booking, and it turned out it had booked me a table at a different hotel in another part of the country. "It is a 'quirky' older hotel with some nice features. Our room was decorated with purple wallpaper covered with pink hearts and had a plastic flower covered swing in the middle of the room. The bed was very high and quite hard to get in or out of. A small stool would have been useful. Some of the other rooms appeared to be very small. On the plus side the building is old (how many centuries?) with lots of character. The food in the pub was excellent - both the included breakfast and the optional...

"Fantastic hotel In the restaurant their was an excellent menu including burgers, pizzas, selection of stakes, curry’s I opted for a chicken balti which was presented on silver platter, very tasty. The menu was very well priced, £21 for a ribeye, £17 for curry"
