Arrived late evening parking available although narrow parking bays to check in Friendly lady at reception Checked in minimum effort
Bar & restaurant still open & appeared quite busy (didn’t use)
Room allocated in annex Found room immediate reaction mediocre room Adequate size felt dark dimly lit Acceptable cleanliness throughout No air-con Opened window heard drone of chiller plus parking immediately under window Side light by the bed didn’t work the TV on the wall in the corner seriously my tablet at home is bigger almost required binoculars
Ok tea tray no extras only tea or coffee with milk & either sugar or sweetener No WiFi in room Bath towels on the small side but nicely laundered Shower curtain felt dated Woken very early morning by van starting up under the window & exhaust fumes in the room Had no option but to close window within few minutes the room very stuffy
To be totally honest the room was basic definitely prefer a premier inn both for ambiance facilities & most definitely the price
Checkout was easy as box to deposit key outside of the main building
Unfortunately unable to recommend The Oyster Fleet Hotel in Canvey Island as in my opinion not value for money
