"The good: Check-in was quick and efficient by a very nice associate. Room was clean. The not so good: The door of the room had apparently been kicked as indicated by the damage at the point of the overnight door latch. The damage meant the latch was useless as the door easily pulled open with the latch engaged. There were no outlets on the nightstand for charging phones, etc., as is typical these days. The hotel has extremely deep soaking tubs that require a high step in and out. I can still do this, but less agile guests may find it a challenge and a slip/fall risk. The soap dispenser was also empty in the shower."

"I stayed at the Riverside Inn booked on Expedia for one weekend night, it was a convenience stay to break up a roadtrip and I was hoping to find a value property. For the price point, it was about what I anticipated before booking online, if it were more expensive I would have complaints. That said, I would consider staying here again in the future for a single night but probably not longer. Setup: typical two story 'motel' style layout with room doors opening to an exterior walkway. It had renovations done inside the room (hard floors/not carpet, painted, repurposed items, etc), the bathroom did seem to be somewhat of a DIY renovation (shower, faucet, older plumbing & tilework repairs), but everything was operational. Pros: very nicely done courtyard with blooming flowers, free and ample parking, pleasant front desk staff, air conditioner worked well, bed & bath linens were clean, no smells (like of prior smoking, etc), quiet room/property. Cons: No room lighting other than a single bedside lamp, and I was not comfortable with the curtains open since it was a common walkway for the other rooms; no hairdryer, no coffee in the room (was available in the lobby, I tried it and it was hour(s) old at 10am, do not recommend); & no room safe. It served the purpose I was looking for as a solo traveler on a roadtrip on a budget."

"The room was very clean and nice! The complimentary breakfast was actually way beyond what I had in mind. Everything from eggs to cereal to waffles. Will definitely stay here again!"

"Nice room, larger than most. Staff was very helpful and friendly. There is a shuttle that tuns from the Bee Hotel, to The Holbrook and then to the casino, very nice amenity. Room was clean, appliances seem to be almost new. Decorated very nicely. Would highly recommend. If I have a need to visit Danville again (which has a lot more to see than I expected) I'd stay here again."

"Could have used at least one hook in the bathroom for wet towels and/or robe. Also could have used at least one shelf in the shower for personal shower products. Be forewarned , Rocky Mount has no public transportation and almost no Uber/Lift services. The hotel is 3+ hilly miles from the Harvester and downtown eateries and also has no shuttle services so you have to drive everywhere."
