The front desk gent (manager? owner?) is a total class act - very much cares for his guests, looks after them - a true delight. There are large and small rooms - the small ones overlook the parking area to the rear, and are quieter; the larger ones overlook Judah St and the street cars/MUNI - we personally love its sounds: shades of Manhattan.
