"Very nice and modern accommodation, close to the river, you can see the river from your bed and balcony A super breakfast basket will be brought to your room. As there is no bar or breakfast room you will be on your own, not really a place to get in touch with other travelers. Next supermarket and restaurants are far away (20 minutes), there is no promenade with bars or a village center. However we enjoyed 2 nights relaxing on our own. "

"Um dos hotéis mais incríveis em que fiquei. Quartos ótimos com uma vista única sobre o Douro. Tenho apenas a salientar a falta de limpeza da piscina. Pelas 12h a piscina ainda not inja sido limpa e tinha vários insetos. Também de realçar falta de manutenção na casa de banho com as portas e rodapés ligeiramente descascados o que não traduz a qualidade geral do hotel."

"Fabulous hotel - almost Belmond but not quite. Rooms are excellent (must comfortable beds with down pillows). Breakfast is superb. Pool service a bit sporadic but overall the staff were wonderful. "

"I cannot say enough positive things about this hotel. At check-in, I was thoughtfully greeted and allowed to retreat to my room well over 3 hours early. Reception encouraged me to get some rest when I mentioned I was quite tired, and that they’d be happy to give me a tour once rested if this was my preference. "Anna was the most helpful accommodating hostess. The property was a bit difficult to find but once we found it it was amazing. A bit difficult for parking but we are finding that to be a problem all over Portugal. We would be happy to stay again 😊 "
