"For a budget hotel, it was amazing"

"Considering that Luton is not the place it used to be, I was pleasantly surprised at how clean & modern the hotel was. Our 2 night stay was great, however I do think coffee should be a free perk whenever you stay in any hotel anywhere. They did have coffee up in the room, but the coffee downstairs in the communal breakfast area was only available with the purchase of breakfast; this should have been available for free. "This hotel is a good 10/15 minute walk from the airport. The reception/bar area reminded me of a youth hostel. Reception and check in was good, the lady was very professional and welcoming.. The hotel room was in dire need of an overhaul. The carpet had stains and white powder around the room and bed (I hoped it was carpet freshener). Bed mattress seemed clean and bathroom (like a caravan) smelt of bleach so as I was staying one night I didn’t complain. Room decor was as old as the building....

"The room was large, bright and clean with the added bonus of a fan. Staff were polite and helpful. Evening meal was superb. If we are in Harpenden again we will definitely stay here again."
