"On arrival we was greeted with a strong smell of damp. There was a lot of spiders and dead and live wood lice all around the house. The live were taken outside and the dead were sucked up the very doggy smelling vacuum cleaner. The sofa smelt of dogs and the sink had stuck on food remnants and dead wood lice. The only good points were: the bed was comfy and the nice touch of a bottle of Prosecco. Would we recommend and stay again? Unfortunately no."

"Stayed at the George Washington in room 6 on 15th July. Room very nice and clean with tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer provided flatscreen tv and nice shower and towels. Had our evening meal here to very nice chicken madras and the homemade steak pudding washed down with some nice red wine. "We stayed for 2 nights in a very small double standard room. No storage space,just a bar about a metre long to hang a couple of items on and small bedside drawers .There was a complimentary breakfast provided and tea making facilities but only a tiny stool so breakfast had to be eaten sitting on the bed. All that being said the room was clean and the bed . In the shower room there is a small towel rail but only big enough for hand towels,we had to drape the wet bath towels over the shower door....

"The Red Dragon is advertised as "Has Onsite parking Very Rare for location. That was the reason we booked it. When we arrived we discovered it has zero parking. The manager and staff apologised and advised where we should park. the town is short of longterm parking. We ended up spening a lot of time driving around and paying a lot for overnight parking. The rooms are fine. the breakfast very good, the Staff friendly and helpful"

"Check-in was a faff. Expedia states 15:00 check in but there is a note on the door which says 16:00. The door was locked, we couldn’t wait until 16:00. We phoned and finally managed to speak to someone who opened the door and checked us in. The room was clean but needs some TLC - marks on the inside of the door at the bottom and some damage in places to the roof. No instructions on checkout and again the pub door was locked so we just put the key through the door."
