A Kookaburra at Calamvale District Park. You can walk in this small creek. Kookaburras are the most common creature. Probably, not a must visit place. But if you stay somewhere near Calamvale, it might be worth to have a little walk in this park.
Rocks Riverside Park is an old cement factory that has been converted into a recreational area and walking trail. There's public BBQ facilities, picnic tables, washrooms and a playground. The footpath stretches along Brisbane River and is a beautiful place to run. There's parking at the park but you could also walk here from Oxley train station (about 20 minutes).

Australia Water Dragons are common all over Brisbane. I captured this beautiful fellow at Karawatha Forest which is in walking distance to my home in Calamvale. But I've seen hundreds of these cuties in South Bank Parklands, City Botanic Gardens, Roma Street Parklands and even in my university, QUT.

Killarney Glen, within the Scenic Rim of Queensland and part of Qld National Parks is such a beautiful spot. After a steep walk down (feels steeper going back) you come across a wonderful pebble filled creek and azure waters flowing into a heart shaped pool. Here you'll find repellers, overseas tourists and even young backpackers in their underwear because they forgot their swimmers. I just wanted to find it and take a few photos. Take snacks and water. There are facilities nearby. #queensland #hiking
