"Older hotel, nice property. On clifftop overlooking Parksville Bay. Interior very neat. Cafe and separate restaurant. Comfortable and pleasant room. Cable TV runs Crave and HBO2. Well trained staff. Superior establishment, older clientele. On the walls, local artwork for sale. Large well equipped gym. The recumbent bikes do need to be replaced. 2 squash courts. Outdoor pool closed. Indoor pool open. Restaurant's Seniors Breakfast filling, but has low salt. Big open air carpark, 2 recharging stations."

THE Beach Club Resort

10/10 Excellent

"Convenient location near McD, community park, groceries. Immaculate condition, Restaurant with domes on patio. Superior full breakfast at a reasonable price. Nice pool and hot tub. Compact gym. Many small kids. Beachfront room views are breathtaking, overlooking boardwalk. Very nice balcony. Avoid the other rooms, because a few are situated in nooks. The rooms in West and East wings (low rise) are open to street access, motel-style."

Arbutus Grove Motel

10/10 Excellent

"The room was very clean. The towels smelled amazing. Lisa at the front desk was very helpful and I know that she does all the housekeeping there as well. She's a busy lady and the owners are lucky to have her there. Also it's very quiet sleeping there at night, so quiet that there's about 20 black rabbits that live on the property too. If they're not scared away then neither should the guest be"
