All the staff were helpful, polite, efficient and welcoming - lovely walk to Himley Hall and lovely food for dining at breakfast and the evenings - however in our opinion the room needs more attention - Room 4 Top front /side of the hotel - this room was the highest double room choice for 2 people - The fan in the bathroom is in the wrong position behind the blind, the bathroom window has a large gap at the top and allows noise and kitchen smells to enter - the shower is poor and entry and exit to a high bath where the shower is situated is difficult - it needs a grab rail - The bathroom door decides to lock itself at will - and some parts fell off the shower/ bath area All the room windows need better glazing to reduce the traffic noise from the main A449 very close to the front - The hotel needs a lift as it’s a drag to get your bags up to the room especially if you have special needs or are physical challenged or a medical condition - The access cards locked us out the room twice so needed reprogramming - not great when you get to your room after a busy day and climbing the stairs up and down to get it sorted - would we return - sorry unfortunately Green King it’s a ‘No’ we spent £700 with - 2 rooms 2 nights with meals and feel we deserved better
