Extremely disappointing stay, especially considering the premium price. We were unable to sleep in a single morning. One day an alarm went off at 6:19 a.m., and another morning housekeeping staff were rolling carts directly outside our door at 7:29 a.m. on the wooden boardwalk. At night, neighboring guests were loud, gathering on balconies and slamming doors well past 1:00 a.m., making it difficult for our family and teenage children to rest.
The food service was equally frustrating. Multiple orders were incorrect, including grilled fish being served blackened instead of grilled. On one evening, we waited over 90 minutes for our meal while guests who arrived after us were served first. Our order appeared to have been forgotten.
For the rates charged, we expected a peaceful, well-managed resort with attentive service. Instead, we experienced constant noise, poor food service, and a lack of attention to guest comfort. Unfortunately, this was not the relaxing vacation we had hoped for, and I would recommend prospective guests consider other options."
"One trash bag, one roll of toilet paper and no cleaning on a 6 day stay. These items need to be requested. $50 towel deposit. You’ll also be hit with a $202 fee for the “amenities” which included the continental breakfast(whether you use it or not) pool, ping pong table, and bike???."
"Yes, it was a wonderful experience. The location was not the best behind a Publix and the staff was terrible and you can’t fish off the boats. There’s no cleaning products and nothing was cleaned during our four days day. Otherwise it was great. We had a great time a light broken screen came off stuff like that but otherwise yeah, we had a great time, but I think they could be more friendly and they can allow you to fish off the house but they could help you with the kayaks and not be rude I won’t be coming back and I probably won’t recommend it to anyone else because of that about the housewives are great. It wasn’t a great location. Couldn’t see the ocean or anything and they wouldn’t allow you to fish or do anything on it so that’s the whole point of the houseboat but and the staff it’s working there in a little trailer. It was not exactly helpful."
Courtyard by Marriott Faro Blanco Resort, Marathon Florida Keys
10/10 Excellent
"This hotel was well maintained and the staff was great! Out of the choices that are available in this area of the Keys, it would be hard to find a better place to stay - excellent pool overlooking the water, a small bay area, poolside service and bar, clean facilities and a great staff."
