"The room was the best we had on our trip. It had shampoo, conditioner, soap in both the sink area and the shower. There was cold water and milk in the refrigerator and coffee/ tea. There was also a heated towel rack and great big towels. They also provided a shower cap. It was large enough that you could both move around the room. Highly recommend"

"Everything was excellent, room, food, friendly staff, position of hotel next to coast was perfect. Perhaps reduce the cost of wine a bit? Otherwise a great holiday site"

"Great B&B . Everything we needed for an overnight stay in Oban before heading to the ferry to Mull .Very convenient and good fitness waking up the hill to the property . Taxi if not inclined to walk up hills . Really nice touch to have the breakfast cereals , juice and yogurt . Thank you ."

"An absolute gem of a property - from rooms, bar, dining room and staff. Wonderful breakfasts prepared each morning. Do yourself a favour and book yourself a dinner there as well. Chef is very talented! The views of boats in the bay and the shoreline of Oban are spectacular from this property. Highly recommend."

"first of all there is no elevator which seems strange, as you have to carry your bags . secondly there was no air conditioning. the room was really hot and humid. we could not open the windows as it was right on the road with lot of traffic noise. a small fan was provided which was not helpful"

"The room had everything we needed, it was quaint & convenient. The kitchen / breakfast setup was perfect for doing our own cooking and purchasing just what we needed - a few eggs. I look forward to staying again the next time I’m in Oban!"

"No lift or mini fridge. It would be difficult for someone in poor physical condition to make it up the spiral staircase to the rooms. They were fine for us - even after a couple whiskeys! The room was very cute and clean. It was obvious upgrades had been made to the plumbing. Not perfect but very nice and we really enjoyed the restaurant/bar downstairs. Great entertainment and knowledge of whiskey. The only bar we went into that had Scottish music!"

"The view out the front window of the hotel is beautiful. The food was ok.. not amazing. I ordered the risotto and it was terrible. We ended up walking to a nearby restaurant for drinks and their restaurant was booked and had more options. Jay the manager was super friendly and the room was comfortable and the bathrooms newly renovated and clean."

"The room is spotlessly clean and check in was easy. This is so efficient! Guests should understand there is no outdoor space and you access the building electronically. There are no windows (which was a blessing because it is dark and quiet for a good night's sleep). It is steps from the train, bus and ferry terminals as well as close to the best seafood in Scotland. Hang out at an outdoor table at a nearby pub, enjoy the people watching, and go have a good night's rest before your next day's...

"Ideal location. Parking on the street outside - free after 6:00pm. Lisa was great help with check in and drinks. Nice breakfast."

"Poor standard overall. Lift broken - had to climb several flights of stairs which was difficult as I have arthritis. Room ok but needed some talc. Parking inadequate as 11 spaces and 41 rooms. Breakfast was very poor, little choice for those who do not eat fry ups. Asked for alternative- scrambled eggs, but not available apparently. Toilets in the public area were dirty . Definitely not a 4 star hotel"
