"Our stay was comfortable, breakfast is amazing really fresh and the staff at the breakfast was very nice and friendly. The only criticism I have is for the bartender, the gentleman was quite rude and he did misbehave with a few other guest too. The body language and tone is very unwelcoming. We asked for a drink suggestion and he said I can’t as I don’t drink. We ignored that but in the second serving our drink was bit warm and we shared this concern we were told this is the right temperature...

"Hall is looking tired on the outside with visable broken and boarded up windows at the very top. Room was dated, we stayed in the Munro studio, no windows that open and looks directly onto the back entrance so needed to keep blinds down otherwise people could see straight in as this is a ground floor room. Opposite kitchen so could smell the cooking. What made this stay was the lovely staff and evening meals were great"

"Excellent hotel, nothing to complain about. Stayed here to go to scafell pike which was around 25 minutes drive away. Also a beach around 10 minutes drive away. Hotel has a large car park, great outdoor space to sit as well. Only down side was we went to pool room and it was locked, got the staff to open it and got change for the table from the bar. Just as we were going to start playing noticed one cue was broken in half and the other the tip was missing. Dart board not in the best condition....

"Magnífico pequeño hotel con habitaciones reformadas y con mucho encanto. Muy práctico para hacer senderismo desde el propio hotel. La cocina, tanto para los desayunos como las cenas, es buenísima. El personal muy atento, agradable y profesional."

"We had a lovely one night stay. We were warmly greeted and our room was spacious, up quite a few stairs so beware if you have heavy cases. We enjoyed a swim in the pool and used the hot tub. A well equipped gym was also available. The pool was very clean and a pleasant temperature. These facilities were all included in the room price but there is a limited timetable when you can use the pool due to lesson and member sessions. We ate dinner at the hotel which was very tasty and well presented....

"I stayed in found floor room. Looked tired and is need of decorating. Shower was adequate-plenty of hot water but not very powerful. Windows needed cleaning. Room on whole was clean although stain on duvet cover. Bed comfy. Not staff at hotel so you had to phone through to another hotel for assistance. No food available and a list of take away places for breakfast. "

"It was a really pleasant stay all staff was so lovely, everything was lovely and relaxing i would most definitely stay again, shame the weather let us down a bit but still had a great stay. The only thing that was missing a mirror in the room to get ready hair etc."

"A very pleasant establishment just outside Keswick. Free parking and local bus stop. Room is in a really old terrace cottage full of character. The proprietor had a roaring fire going and she offered some homemade cafe to have with a brew. Breakfast was great - the eggs were fresh and provided by the hens in the garden. Can't wait to go back"
