"Good breakfast. Room was clean. Parking at the hotel was busy but we found a space eventually, which cost about £17.50 for 24 hours. We ended up arriving a lot earlier than our check in time, but we were able to pay for parking in reception before checking in which was helpful. Good location as it's not too far to walk into the city centre (about 20 minutes) and the river is also nearby for a nice walk with coffee shops."

"An amazing hotel from start to finish. The staff cant be more friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and fresh looking with robes and slippers provided. A bottle of water is also provided on arrival alongside biscuits, teas and coffees. Lovely cooked breakfast in the morning. Bath main town is a short walk away (15 / 20 mins) but be aware that there is a steep hill returning back to the hotel if walking that might be a challege for those less mobile. Would highly recommend a stay here."

Every single member of staff went out of their way to be helpful, creating an atmosphere of genuine hospitality that made us feel completely at ease. One of the highlights was receiving all-time access to the pool. This was such a treat, especially as The Gainsborough is the only hotel in the UK to offer natural thermal baths. Being able to enjoy them whenever we wished added a magical touch to our stay and made the experience feel truly unique. Overall, The Gainsborough Bath Spa exceeded all expectations. "We had a wonderful time at the priory the staff were very attentive and responded very promptly to our requests (which were numerous as we have an 11pm the old baby). The quality of the room service food was exceptional. Would definitely stay again "
